But what is the edible spoon made of?
The Spoonie choc and Spoonie classic are the first edible ice cream spoons made of food fibres. They are made from cocoa shells and oat husks that are left behind as a by-product in food processing. We rescue these shell remnants and ensure that they are reused in a sensible way. We then make our spoonies from the shells. In this way, we ensure a sustainable circular economy and also offset all CO2 emissions.
